Artist Chuck Close made a name for himself for his work depicting human faces, even though he cannot recognize them.
Close, one of the most famous living American artists, suffers from the neurological disorder prosopagnosia, which is sometimes called “face blindness.” Close cannot remember faces of people around him, no matter how many times he sees them, said Tania Said, curator of education at Ball State University’s Museum of Art.
