Theatre department plans for next school year

The Department of Theatre and Dance recently announced its upcoming performances for the 2010-2011 school year.

“Angels in America Part 1: Millennium Approaches” is one of the plays being performed next year and will feature faculty members such as Wendy Mortimer, Drew Vidal and Rodger Smith. The play will be directed by Jennifer Blackmer.

The musical “Company” will also be presented. It will be directed by Beth Turcotte and Michael Worcel.

The Ball State Dance Theatre will perform “The Nutcracker” in the main-stage series with Audra Sokol as the artistic director.

“Picnic,” “Little Shop of Horrors” and “Once Upon a Dance” are also on the agenda for next year.

“Little Shop of Horrors,” a musical, will be directed by Michael Daehn with choreography by Christie Zimmerman.
