Muncie weekend music preview
Doc’s Music Hall kicks off the weekend tonight with three different bands. Red Moon, Twin Cats and Midwest Hype will take the stage starting at 10 p.m. Red Moon, from Indianapolis, mixes rock, reggae and pop. Following the band will be another popular Indianapolis band, Twin Cats, who promise a set of “face melting funk.” Headliner for the evening will be reggae, hip hop, and jazz band, Midwest Hype. The cover charge is $5.
On Saturday, Doc’s will host a different style of music with a solo set from DJ Embryo. Embryo will mix electronica and techno for the dancing-fueled night. The cover charge is $3. The music begins at 10 p.m.
The Heorot, next door to Doc’s, local bands Everything, Now!, Bleed Stone and The Impetuous Impregnables will play a free show on Saturday night. Everything, Now!, from Indianapolis, plays its music with influence from rock, soul and psychedelic. Bleed Stone, a popular Indiana band, will bring its unique, experimental sound to stage. Muncie band The Impetuous Impregnables will open the show. The concert starts at 9 p.m.
