This week’s music releases
In stores Tuesday:
Cold War Kids, “Behave Yourself” EP
The indie band releases their latest in a long list of EP releases with “Behave Yourself.” The songs were released on iTunes in December, but Tuesday marks the release of the first disc version available.
Eels, “End Times”
Many of the songs on Eels’ eighth studio album will reportedly be about aging and the pains of divorce. The band, who formed in the mid-1990s, has gone through numerous line-up changes. The band’s consistent member and main songwriter, E, is 46 years old.
Motion City Soundtrack, “My Dinosaur Life”
Motion City Soundtrack will be releasing their first major label album Tuesday after moving to Columbia Records. The band toured with Blink-182 over the summer, whose bassist, Mark Hoppus, produced “My Dinosaur Life.”
Spoon, “Transference”
Spoon is releasing their seventh studio album Tuesday. The rock ‘n’ roll band has received major success in the last decade after their music appeared on numerous television shows including “The O.C.,” “Veronica Mars,” “Scrubs,” “How I Met Your Mother” and “Bones.”
Recommended:
Spoon, “Transference” – Based on their unique, guitar-heavy songs from other albums, like “That’s the Way We Get By” and “I Turn My Camera On,” Spoon is an unpredictable band whose music sounds fantastic when it is turned up really loud in the car.

My Dinosaur Life doesn’t sound quite like Motion City Soundtrack. It’s still alright. I’m looking forward to listening to Transference.
